How To Apply
The grant application for the FFVP is completed in MEGS+. A MEGS+ Level 4 or 5 Authorized Official may initiate the grant. School Food Authorities (SFAS) must apply annually for the grant; there is no automatic carry-over of building sites from year to year. Grants are awarded by building and not by entire district.
Past performance of the FFVP grant will be taken into consideration when awarding new grants. The following are items that will be considered: how soon the FFVP was started at the beginning of the school year, variety of fruits and vegetables served, spend down of grant funds, timeliness of claims, and overall support of the program.
Application Deadline: May 20, 2020
The grants are awarded on a school year basis (July 1 – June 30). Funding is awarded in two allocations: July 1 – September 30 and October 1 – June 30.
