The Michigan Developmental Disabilities Council, a governor-appointed body of 21 persons with disabilities, parents, guardians, or relatives of persons with disabilities, and agency representatives, is looking for a few good advocates. Funded through the federal Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act (DD Act) the Council has a fundamental goal of ensuring that people with developmental disabilities have the opportunities and supports to achieve their full potential.
