Pursuant to Executive Order 2020-75, the following details are provided:

  1. An explanation of the reason why the public body is meeting electronically.

The Health Information Technology (HIT) Commission will meet virtually to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, protect the public health, and provide essential protections to vulnerable Michiganders. Virtual meetings will ensure that commission business can continue without unduly compromising public health, safety, and welfare.

  1. Detailed procedures by which the public may participate in the meeting remotely, including a telephone number, internet address, or both.

For each virtual HIT Commission meeting, notice will be provided on the MDHHS HIT Commission web page (https://www.michigan.gov/mdhhs/0,5885,7-339-71551_5460_44257---,00.html) that provides instructions on how to join the meeting via a link and/or telephone number.   1. Procedures by which persons may contact members of the public body to provide input or ask questions on any business that will come before the public body at the meeting.

Public comment at each HIT Commission meeting will allow attendees to provide feedback via their audio connection to the conferencing app, the chat feature in the conferencing app or via their meeting call-in audio connection. Materials needing to be displayed during public comment or any other feedback requiring commission attention can be emailed to Erin Mobley (MobleyE2@michigan.gov) prior to the meeting.

  1. Procedures by which persons with disabilities may participate in the meeting.
