The Michigan Department of Community Health (MDCH) has summarily suspended the medical license of Rajesh Navnitlal Doshi, M.D. The MDCH Bureau of Health Professions orders a summary suspension when it believes that the public’s health, safety, and welfare warrant emergency action.

On March 21, 2005, Doshi’s employer reported that Doshi had been terminated based on his misrepresentations involving professional limitations that were placed on his medical license pursuant to an Order of the Michigan Board of Medicine, and based on Doshi practicing medicine outside the scope of the limitations placed on his license by the Board.

On April 26, 2005, MDCH issued an order immediately suspending Doshi’s medical license. An administrative hearing will be scheduled to address the status of Doshi’s license.
