The Birth Defects Prevention Program is conducted jointly by the
Bureau of Disease Control, Prevention and Epidemiology and
the Division for Vital Records and Health Statistics.

The Program efforts provide: 

  1. Birth defects prevention materials and resources for Michigan residents.
  2. Monitoring through the Michigan Birth Defects Registry.
  3. Follow-up for families affected by birth defects.
