Aging Services

Aging services help older adults live in the setting of their choice for as long as possible, and complement the care provided by family or friends.

Contact your local Area Agency on Aging to learn more about the services below and to see if you qualify. The Behavioral and Physical Health and Aging Services Administration does not provide direct services. Please contact your local Area Agency on Aging.

If you have concerns about a long term care facility (skilled nursing facility, home for the aged or adult foster care), please contact the Michigan Long Term Care Ombudsman Program at 1-866-485-9393. If you have concerns about another type of facility (such as assisted living), please contact Michigan Elder Justice Initiative at 517-827-8010 and leave a message.
