State Plan on Aging
State Plan on Aging for Fiscal Years 2024-2026
State Units on Aging are tasked under the Older Americans Act with developing and administering a multi-year State Plan on Aging that provides goals and objectives related to assisting older residents, their families, and caregivers in their states.
Guidance for content and expectations for developing the State Plan is established by the Federal Administration for Community Living (ACL), including a required narrative and specific attachments. MDHHS conducted a statewide Needs Assessment and used the input to identify priorities for MDHHS in promoting and supporting the health and well-being of Michigan's older adult population and their caregivers.
