State Advisory Council on Aging (SAC)

The 40-member volunteer State Advisory Council on Aging (SAC) is appointed by the Michigan Commission on Services to the Aging (CSA) to represent the interests of older persons in the state. SAC members study key aging issues, write reports, and advise the CSA and the State Unit on Aging Director. To reflect the demographic and geographic diversity of Michigan’s older population, appointments are made with consideration based on where the applicants live and current SAC openings in one of the 16 Area Agencies on Aging (AAA) regions.
