Early Intervention
Goal 3:
All infants identified with hearing loss will receive early intervention services no later than 6 months of age. Services include: audiology, education, medical, communication training and family support.
Different professionals can help with early intervention services based on the family's needs and child's eligibility . Many families choose Early On Michigan to help with family-centered coordinated services. Services may be provided in the family's home or professional offices after a hearing loss is found. Early intervention is important to help each child develop communication and to give families information.
Children's Special Health Care Services (CSHCS) is a program within the Michigan Department of Community Health. It is for children with special health care needs and their families.
