The purpose of the Council is to advise the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services on policy issues related to Medicaid. In addition, the Council is involved with the issues of access to care, quality of care, and service delivery for managed care and fee for service programs.
The Medical Care Advisory Council consists of members who represent consumers and consumer advocates, health care providers, and the community.

Healthy Michigan Plan Implementation Process
The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services will provide the Medical Care Advisory Council (MCAC) with an update on the progress of the Healthy Michigan Plan implementation and waiver amendment applications at each MCAC meeting scheduled below. These meetings will also provide an opportunity for attendees to provide program comments or suggestions.
