APIC Infection Prevention Courses

In partnership with the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC), MDHHS is offering complimentary Certification in Infection Control (CIC) Prep course.

Certification in Infection Control (CIC) Prep Course

This course benefits Infection Preventionists and Epidemiologists who are interested in obtaining certification in infection control and prevention through the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology (CBIC).

Expert instructors will lead you through the CIC® exam syllabus in a structured live class environment to ensure you understand and can apply the critical CIC® topics and provides an in-depth examination of the material found on the CIC® exam. The interactive program teaches and reinforces the basic knowledge, skills, and abilities expected of professionals working in the field of infection prevention and control. All course participants will receive the updated APIC Learning System for CIC®, course materials and online software access for 12 months.

To earn the CIC® Certification Prep Certificate and available CNE credits, participants must complete all program components:

  • Three full days of live training led by experienced instructors. (Contact hours awarded for attendance and completion of evaluation)
  • Online coursework and practice exam.
