Regional Town Hall Meetings
Regional Town Hall Meetings
Regional Town Hall meetings provide an opportunity for communities to voice their opinions on the next iteration of the Mother Infant Health & Equity Improvement Plan (MIHEIP) and on services, policies and systems which effect mothers, birthing people, families and babies in their communities. The valuable feedback received in these meetings helps inform and align efforts to improve health outcomes and work towards zero health disparities.
Hosts for the event are the Regional Perinatal Quality Collaboratives and the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.
Join us for a 2023 Town Hall meeting!
Meetings will be held in every region of the state to gather input on the next version of the Mother Infant Health & Equity Improvement Plan. Anyone interested in the health and well-being of Michigan families is welcome to attend.Meetings will include an overview of successes under the current Improvement Plan, and an opportunity to share feedback on the next version of the plan.

Common Themes Across All Regions
Across Michigan, communities voiced the need for consistent messaging, care coordination, and awareness and access to available resources and services. Families and stakeholders stated the need for universal home visiting and inclusivity of all family types including men and Fathers. Communities recognized the growing need to address social determinants of health, stigma, and unconscious biases.
