How to Reduce Your Risk of COVID-19 During MiPEHS
Stay Healthy During MiPEHS
MDHHS is committed to protecting your health while you take part in our health studies. We have put in place a series of precautions for our study staff and participants to follow. These will help reduce contact between staff and participants, reduce the amount of time in the study office, and ultimately reduce the potential spread of COVID-19.
Study Office Precautions
Before your study office visit, please:
- Complete the study survey online to reduce time in the office.
- Reschedule if you are feeling sick, call 855-322-3037.
During your study office visit, study staff are required to:
- Follow all current guidelines on COVID-19 safety measures, such as:
- Screen for COVID-19 symptoms and exposure before every work shift.
- Wear well-fitting face masks.
- Sanitize areas and surfaces between each appointment.
- Ensure hands are sanitized with an at least 60% alcohol-based hand rub or washed with soap and water between each appointment.
- Maintain an increased distance from participants during each visit.
During your study office visit, please:
- Follow all posted signs and instructions from staff on COVID-19 safety measures.
- Answer COVID-19 screening questions that one of our staff will ask.
- Wear a well-fitting face mask. Face masks are available if you do not have one.
Water Sampling Visit Precautions
Study staff will follow all current guidelines on COVID-19 safety measures, such as:
- Screen for COVID-19 symptoms and exposure before every work shift.
- Wear a well-fitting face mask.
- Maintain an increased distance from household members when possible.
- Answer COVID-19 screening questions that MDHHS staff will ask.
- Wear a well-fitting face mask, if possible, while the MDHHS staff are in your home.
- Maintain an increased distance from MDHHS staff.
