11 Critical Safety Areas and Action Plans
In 2012, a group of traffic safety experts updated the state Strategic Highway Safety Plan (SHSP). Organized by the Governor's Traffic Safety Advisory Commission, the group included representatives of state agencies, local agencies and other safety partners.
They identified 11 critical issues the state must address to meet its roadway safety goal. Use the links below to read the related sections of the SHSP, and the action plans for each area, coming in October 2013.
