The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is investing about $3 million to resurface a total of nearly 16 miles of US-41 from M-28 to Mead Road and US-141 from the Iron County line 4.5 miles north. The project also includes asphalt joint repairs and construction of a snowplow turnaround near Baraga Plains Road. This project has a three-year pavement performance warranty.

One lane will be open in alternating directions under flag control.
This project will result in a smoother driving surface and increased safety, and will extend the lifespan of the roadway.
