The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) invites the public to a meeting to discuss the planned 2021 US-2 reconstruction project in Bessemer. City officials will conduct a public hearing and there will be opportunities for residents and business owners to ask questions of MDOT officials.

MDOT is planning to reconstruct US-2 from Powdermill Creek bridge to Old US-2 in Bessemer in 2021.The city will have the option to convert a portion of the roadway from two lanes in each direction to one lane in each direction with a center left-turn lane.
