BACKGROUND:
The planned joint project will be along I-94 Business Loop (Michigan Avenue) between Sycamore Street and Marshall Avenue in Marshall, Calhoun County. In March, Consumers Energy is expected to begin gas main improvements. The city is expected to start a water main upgrade and sidewalk improvements in June, and that work will require lane closures and parking restrictions. After completion of the Consumers Energy and city watermain projects, MDOT will repave Michigan Avenue from Sept. 9 to Oct. 18 using nighttime closures and detours.

In addition, MDOT staff will be available to discuss Michigan Mobility 2045 (MM2045), a collaborative effort to provide the public and key stakeholders an opportunity for engaging in establishing transportation priorities for the next 25 years.
