Temporary all-way stop signs will be used to maintain traffic during work. Following these improvements, the signal will be activated and the new left-turn phasing will begin. This work is weather dependent.
The left-turn phasing improvements will provide a more efficient intersection and improve safety by featuring a yellow flashing arrow to allow turning movements during safe gaps in traffic, followed by a solid green arrow providing a protected phase for left-turn movements. More information regarding flashing yellow arrows is available on MDOT”s website: http://bit.ly/2HS6SM3.
