Beginning in August MDOT will be resurfacing US-24 between Pennsylvania Road and Dix-Toledo Road during weekends. During work, one lane of US-24 will be open in one direction while the other direction is closed and detoured via I-75 and Dix-Toledo Road, four weekends for each direction. The condition of the shoulders on US-24 cannot accommodate the amount of traffic and cannot be used as temporary lanes during construction. Details of all considered options will be shared during the public meeting.

The project is expected to be finished in November.

Project area:
Resurfacing the roadway in the proposed traffic pattern will ensure a safer work zone for motorists, workers, and local businesses.
