The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will be closing one lane of southbound US-127 from Kalamazoo Street to Mile Marker 9 just past the I-496 interchange in Lansing to cleanup material from a diesel fuel leak. The leak was a result of a previous truck crash near the interchange. MDOT has issued a permit to Young's Environmental Cleanup to clean this area.
Alternate routes are advised; expect backups.
Closing the lane will ensure the safety of workers and motorists and assist in keeping our environment as clean as possible.
