M-99 Pavement Repair, City of Lansing, Ingham County

Start: Summer 2019     End: Fall 2019
Investment: $4.65 million

The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) has planned a pavement repair project in south Lansing, to address the poor condition of the roadway - specifically the outside through lanes from Edgewood Boulevard to 500 feet south of Victor Avenue. This work is to take place in advance of a major reconstruction project along I-496, scheduled to begin in spring of 2020.

What Is Being Done?

Starting summer 2019, the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will make improvements to M-99 in City of Lansing, including:

  • Full depth pavement repair of outside lanes.
  • Resurfacing inside three lanes and Jolly Road intersection.
  • Minor drainage structure repair, with improvements to concrete curb and gutter and concrete sidewalk.
How Traffic Will Be Affected:

Construction will take place in stages to minimize the disruption to motorists and residents.

During construction, one lane and center left turn lane will be open in each direction the majority of the time, with short-term left-turn lane closures possible at night.
