View project location

The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will resurface I-75 Business Loop (BL) from I-75 to High Street and from Antione Street to North Airport Road in St. Ignace, Mackinac County. This project will include cold milling, resurfacing, upgrading concrete sidewalk ramps to Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards, pavement markings, and reconfiguration of the existing lanes from four to three.

How Traffic Will Be Affected:

The work will require lane closures with traffic regulators.

Safety Benefit:

Long-term benefits include improvements to vehicle safety and operations, including lane reconfigurations and a new pavement surface. Studies show that four to three-lane reconfigurations can reduce crashes by 19 to 47 percent.
