Mackinac Straits Corridor Authority meeting
Notice of meeting locations, times, and agendas are posted prior to each meeting date. All MSCA meetings are open to the public and attendance is encouraged.
The Mackinac Straits Corridor Authority (MSCA), tasked with overseeing construction, maintenance and operation of a utility tunnel beneath the Straits of Mackinac, will meet. A copy of the full agenda will be available at the MSCA website.
Accessibility:
Attendees who require mobility, visual, hearing, written, or other assistance for effective participation should contact Orlando Curry at 517-241-7462 or CurryO@Michigan.gov, preferably at least five business days prior to the scheduled meeting. Forms are located on the Title VI webpage. Requests made after this timeframe will be evaluated and honored to the extent possible.
Public comment:
Written public comment to the MSCA may be submitted online or to MDOT-MSCA@Michigan.gov. Each person who chooses to provide public comment at the meeting venue will have up to three minutes to address the MSCA.
Background:
The tunnel will house a replacement segment for the Enbridge Line 5 light oil and natural gas liquids (NGL) pipelines that currently sit on the bottom of the Straits and will accommodate other utilities to improve infrastructure connections between the peninsulas. MSCA will own the tunnel after it is built and provide independent oversight throughout its life.
