Westbound I-94 traffic shift to new lanes starts Tuesday night in Jackson
Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2019
ESTIMATED OVERALL PROJECT COMPLETION DATE:
The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will complete a shift of westbound I-94 traffic from Elm Avenue to Lansing Avenue to the newly constructed lanes. This shift will accommodate continuing lane reconstruction. This work is part of the ongoing I-94 Corridor Project.
For more information about the project, go to www.Michigan.gov/I94Jackson.
Crews will begin to shift westbound traffic to the newly constructed eastbound lanes as weather and traffic patterns allow and will remain on these lanes until project completion. The Elm Avenue ramp to westbound I-94 will be closed and detoured until Nov. 23.
Delays are expected to continue through the work zone - an alternate route is advised.
This work will provide a smoother driving surface, increased safety and mobility along I-94, which is a significant local, national and international trade corridor.
