The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is hosting an open house to discuss the possibility of reducing the US-131 Business Route (BR) (North Washington Street) bridge over the St. Joseph River from four lanes to two lanes.

BACKGROUND:
MDOT is planning a US-131 BR road and bridge construction project in the village of Constantine, St. Joseph County, for 2021. Part of the project may include reducing the width of the bridge, as well as the number of US-131 BR lanes north of the bridge from four lanes to three lanes. The project begins near Stears Road and ends at Spring Street.
