Public meeting Feb. 4 to discuss I-496 reconstruction in Lansing
WHAT:
The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will be hosting a public meeting to discuss the reconstruction of I-496 between I-96 and Lansing Road planned to begin in April. During this open house-style meeting, the public will be able to meet with MDOT staff to ask questions about the project and discuss details of the proposed work.

BACKGROUND:
MDOT is investing approximately $60 million and working with local partners to improve I-496 between I-96 and Lansing Road. Work will include reconstructing the freeway and ramps, preventive maintenance on all the bridges and 15 structures in the project area, and making operational improvements to the entrance and exit ramps at the I-96, Creyts Road, and Waverly Road interchanges.
