Open house to discuss US-31 project in Benzonia March 4
The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will have an informational open house meeting to provide an update on the final design and construction schedule for repaving US-31 from M-115 to south of the Betsie River in Benzonia this year.

MDOT will be removing and replacing the existing pavement on 1.7 miles of US-31 from the M-115 intersection to south of the Betsie River. The project also includes concrete curb and gutter replacement; sidewalk repairs and ramp upgrades; new culvert, sewer and drainage structures; and updated guardrail and pavement markings.
During construction, traffic will be maintained with lane closures controlled by temporary traffic signals. Work is currently scheduled to begin March 23 and be completed by Oct. 10.
