PROJECT:
The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will be working on 12 miles of I-69 and three bridges (Fenn Road, State Road and Newton Road) between Girard Road and Otis Road.
This $7.7 million investment includes pavement and joint repairs, resurfacing, crack sealing, and drainage improvements on I-69 between Otis Road and Girard Road. Repairs to the Fenn Road, State Road, and Newton Road bridges includes concrete deck repairs and repaving, full beam painting and approach work.

SAFETY BENEFITS:
This project will improve ride quality and provide a longer lasting pavement on I-69. It will also extend the life of the Fenn Road, State Road, and Newton Road bridges.
TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS:
One lane of I-69 will remain open in each direction throughout construction. Each of the three bridges will be closed and detoured.
Fenn Road will be closed over I-69 April 7 - July 17. Traffic on westbound Fenn Road will be detoured north on I-69 to Exit 13 US-12, then west to southbound I-69. Eastbound Fenn Road will be detoured south on I-69 to Exit 3 Copeland Road, then east to northbound I-69.
State Road will be closed over I-69 April 7 - July 17. State Road will be detoured via Fiske Road, Newton Road, and Michigan Avenue.
Newton Road will be closed over I-69 from Aug. 4 to Oct. 30, and will be detoured via Fiske Road, State Road and Michigan Avenue.
