Monday, March 30, 2020
ESTIMATED COMPLETION DATE:
The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will resume construction on northbound I-475 in Genesee County. This work is part of a $44 million investment in substantial repairs to nearly 18 miles of I-475 in Genesee County, including rebuilding 3 miles of roadway and interchange improvements.
Beginning March 30, lane shifts will be in place on Saginaw Road to accommodate work on I-475. In accordance with MDOT and hot-mix asphalt industry requirements, remaining paving of northbound I-475 from Carpenter Road to Clio Road is expected to resume after May 5.
This work will improve the road surface and drainage, while also improving safety with new signs and freeway lighting.
