PROJECT:
The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will repair the bridge approach on northbound I-75 at the Kawkawlin River in Bay County. This work is part of an overall $29.5 million investment in paving and bridge repairs in Bay County started in 2019. MDOT and the contractor have agreed to replace the bridge approach to improve ride quality and safety.

TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS:
Beginning April 27, drivers can expect single-lane closures on northbound I-75 at the Kawkawlin River to accommodate milling and paving of the bridge approach. Weather permitting, this work will be completed prior to Memorial Day weekend.
SAFETY IMPROVMENTS:
This work will improve the ride quality and extend the life of the roadway.
