Update: Painting work on Cut River Bridge resumes May 9

ESCANABA, Mich. - Contractors for the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) plan to resume bridge coating warranty work on the US-2 Heath M. Robinson Memorial Cut River Bridge, Mackinac County. Work started on May 9 but was suspended due to weather conditions.

The lane closure on the bridge will be in place when work resumes. One alternating lane will be open on the bridge using temporary traffic signals. An 11-foot lane restriction will be in effect.

These repairs are being completed at no additional cost to MDOT.
