M-3 (Gratiot Avenue) traffic shift between Common and 14 Mile roads in Macomb County

ROSEVILLE, Mich. - Northbound and southbound M-3 (Gratiot Avenue) will be reduced to one lane between Common and 14 Mile roads from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, May 13 (weather permitting). This will allow crews to safely paint new lane markings, move barrels, etc., before shifting traffic from the two outside right lanes to the two inside left lanes.

Once traffic is safely shifted into the newly rebuilt inside left lanes, contractors will begin replacing the asphalt roadway and driveways in the outside right lanes, along with water main and storm sewer work. Signs will be replaced, along with ramps and sidewalks to be compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

Access will be available to all businesses. Those businesses with multiple driveways will always have one driveway open. Those businesses with only one driveway will have theirs rebuilt part-width, with half the driveway open while the other half is being worked on.

This work is part of the second year of the two-year M-3 (Gratiot Avenue) project that began in February to rebuild 1.7 miles of M-3 (Gratiot Avenue) between Common and 14 Mile roads in the city of Roseville.

The project is expected to be completed by late fall. For more information, go to MovingMacomb.org.
