This project includes converting the existing five- and four-lane segments of the roadway to three lanes: one through-traffic lane in each direction and a center left-turn lane. In addition to rebuilding the roadway, storm sewer, sidewalks, and upgrading traffic signals, MDOT is partnering with the City of West Branch to include streetscape improvements and watermain replacement.
The project is planned to begin in late summer of 2023, with the majority of work taking place in 2024.
