MDOT is rebuilding 25 miles of I-69 between Marshall and Charlotte. Phase 1 and 2 have been completed. Work in Phase 3 includes rebuilding southbound I-69 from I-94 to north of Ainger Road, rebuilding interchange ramps within the project limits, rebuilding the remaining portion of the I-94/I-69 interchange, as well as preventive maintenance on bridges along the I-69 corridor.

The I-69 work is part of Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s Rebuilding Michigan program to rebuild the state highways and bridges that are critical to the state's economy and carry the most traffic. The investment strategy is aimed at fixes that result in longer useful lives and improves the condition of the state's infrastructure.
