US-10 Rebuilding in Bay County
About this project
Beginning in April, MDOT will begin rebuilding westbound US-10 from Bay City to 7 Mile Road in Bay County. This project includes rebuilding the road, as well as significant bridge improvements at 3 Mile Road, Culver Creek, and Mackinaw Road.
In 2023, crews will address westbound US-10 and bridge work on 3 Mile Road and Culver Creek. In 2024, crews will rebuild the Mackinaw Road Bridge over US-10, widen the bridge, and add roundabouts to help reduce congestion and manage traffic flow for Mackinaw Road and the US-10/Mackinaw Road interchange.
Traffic impacts
- Traffic will be maintained using temporary crossovers.
- Bi-directional traffic will be carried on eastbound US-10 during some phases of construction.
- Detours will be used to maintain the first phase of westbound US-10 construction and during several phases of bridge and ramp work.
- Starting May 12, westbound US-10/M-25 will be closed from Bay City to US-10/I-75 interchange. Westbound traffic will be detoured via M-13, M-84, and I-75.
- Expect additional detours throughout the project.
