Michigan Gaming Control Board
Detroit, December 20, 2017 – The Michigan Gaming Control Board’s new simplified website design emphasizes quick access to licensing forms the public uses. The website is found at www.michigan.gov/mgcb.
“Our website home page gives visitors easy access to forms, which are the most-used links,” said Richard Kalm, MGCB executive director. “Website contents are organized by the three gaming industries we regulate, and the site also has a fourth primary segment with information on Michigan tribal gaming. Our objective is to get website visitors to the information they want quickly.”
Many MGCB site visitors need licensing forms. The refreshed home page includes direct links to forms for casinos, their employees, vendors and suppliers; millionaire party casino-style charitable gaming and horse racing. A new filtering feature will help first-time visitors choose the right licensing forms for casino- or millionaire party-related business.
The home page links visitors to other important programs:
Compulsive/problem gambling and disassociated persons (voluntary self-exclusion from the Detroit casinos)
Detroit casino patron disputes
Illegal or suspicious gambling tip reporting
Employment opportunities and internships
The About MGCB page offers information about board activity, including the meeting schedule, minutes and orders. It also includes a section on agency staff and contact information for the public. Board meeting announcements and agendas will appear under Spotlight News on the home page.
The site was redesigned by the Michigan Department of Technology, Management and Budget’s eMichigan team.
Questions or feedback on the website redesign may be sent to the agency at MGCBweb@michigan.gov.
