Hartwick Pines Logging Museum Visitor Information

Please allow two hours to tour the museum exhibits and forest trail. The park also offers camping, picnicking, biking, and other seasonal activities.
2024 Season Dates and Hours
Hartwick Pines State Park is open year-round. The logging museum is open daily on the following schedule:
- May 1 - Sept. 2: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Sept. 3 - Oct. 31: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Admission
Admission to the logging museum is free; however, a Recreation Passport is required for vehicle entry to the park. Free parking is available in the park.
Location
Hartwick Pines Logging Museum is located in Hartwick Pines State Park, eight miles northeast of Grayling on M-93. From I-75, take exit 259.

Photography
Personal photography without flash for private use is permitted in the buildings and on the grounds. Photographs may not be published, sold or otherwise distributed for commercial purposes.
Photography for weddings and other special events is allowed on the grounds and in the buildings during regular open hours with advance permission. Please contact us in advance to schedule a time.
Accessibility
The visitor center and logging museum are barrier-free. The Old-Growth Forest Trail is paved but includes two steep grades. A wheelchair may be borrowed, subject to availability. Service animals are always welcomed.
Pets
Pets accompanied by and under the control of their human friends are welcomed on the grounds of this site. Pets may not enter any building. See Department of Natural Resources rules and other information on Pet-Friendly Recreation.
