Robert A. Green, P.E. is the Asset Management Program Manager for the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT). He has served the department for 10 years in several capacities.  Prior to the asset management position, Rob was the Capital Preventive Management (CPM) Engineer, where he helped regions selected preservation treatments for their network.  Rob also has experience in construction administration, bridge inspection, and roadway design at MDOT.  Prior to MDOT, he worked for a consultant for 10 years performing design and asset management work.

Along with the Transportation Asset Management Council, Rob also chairs that Transportation Asset Steering Committee at MDOT.  He was also named Chair of the Midwest Pavement Preservation Partnership which is part of the National Center for Pavement Preservation. 

Rob is a gradate of Michigan Technological University and holds a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.  He also holds a MBA in strategic management from Davenport University.
