Nearly 1,000 people logged on to a recent webinar to learn more about the new digital Joint Permit Application (JPA) for wetlands, lakes, streams, and other Water Resources Programs. The new application process is the result of a combined effort Water Resources Division (WRD) staff, along with stakeholders who helped test the process prior to its release.
Launched last week, the digital application is currently available through MiWaters. The goal of the new application is to increase efficiency in processing, increase the number of completed applications, and to enhance the application status update process with applicants.
The record-setting webinar was recorded and is available to the public. Included in the webinar is an introduction to functionality, working through an inland lake shoreline project application, working through a wetland project application, and using the "correction request" for incomplete applications.
