Breastfeeding woman

While some medications are contraindicated during breastfeeding, it is important to understand according to the ACIP’s General Best Practice Guidelines for Immunization in Special Situations, except for smallpox and yellow fever vaccines, neither inactivated nor live-virus vaccines administered to a lactating person affect the safety of breastfeeding for the person or their infants. CDC noted it is safe to receive routine vaccines right after giving birth, even while breastfeeding.110
