Eligible Training Provider

Students can choose to attend an eligible training provider in Michigan through the Michigan Achievement Skills Scholarship.

Students who graduate from high school in Michigan with a diploma or certificate of completion or achieved a high school equivalency certificate in 2023 or after will be eligible for: 

  • Up to $2,000 if they attend an eligible training provider in Michigan, per year, up to two years

Eligibility Requirements

  • Be a Michigan resident since July 1 of the previous calendar year.
    • If you are a dependent student, your parent must also be a Michigan resident since July 1 of the previous calendar year.
  • Graduated from high school in Michigan with a diploma or a certificate of completion or achieved a high school equivalency certificate in 2023 or after.
  • Have not yet earned an associate or bachelor’s degree.
  • Have not yet earned a degree, certificate, or other credential with this scholarship.
     

Interested in participating in the Michigan Achievement Skills Scholarship? Follow these steps! 

  1. Complete the Michigan Achievement Skills Scholarship application.*
  2. Enroll in an Eligible Training Program. 
  3. File the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) if your program is Pell-eligible.**

*The application is not yet available. Sign up for updates to be the first to hear when the Michigan Achievement Skills Scholarship application becomes available. 

** Check with your Eligible Training Program provider to see if your program is Pell-eligible.
