The Michigan Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Monument Dedication and Memorial Service

The Michigan Law Enforcement Officers Memorial (MLEOM) Fund Commission invites family members of fallen officers, members of the law enforcement community, and the public to a monument dedication ceremony on Saturday, July 27, 2019, at 3 p.m.

The Michigan Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Monument, coined the "Sentinel," will be revealed near the Veterans Memorial Park, at the corner of Allegan Street and Butler Boulevard, directly south of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in downtown Lansing.

The dedication ceremony will feature a presentation by the MLEOM Fund Commission, remarks from guest speakers and a reading of the 588 fallen officers who have fallen in the line of duty. Follow the MLEOM on Facebook for events updates.

Created by Public Act 177 of 2004, the commission began fund-raising efforts in 2005 with a goal to raise funds to build and maintain a memorial monument to honor Michigan law enforcement officers who died in the line of duty.
