Archaeology Day Puts Spotlight on Michigan ProjectsArchaeologists will exhibit artifacts and talk about recent excavations in Michigan at the Michigan Historical Center on Saturday, Oct.18, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Interactive activities include spear-throwing with an atlatl and making clay pinch pots. This event is free to the public.
State Nominates 16 Sites to the National Register of Historic PlacesThe State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO), part of the Michigan State Housing Development Authority, announced the nomination of 16 properties to the National Register of Historic Places, the nation’s list of sites worthy of preservation.
