Rick Snyder declaring Michigan’s Severe Weather Awareness Week from April 10-16, the Michigan State Police, Emergency Management and Homeland Security Division (MSP/EMHSD) is calling upon Michiganders to take action to prepare by participating in a voluntary statewide tornado drill at 1:30 p.m. EDT on Wednesday, April 13.

National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week Recognizes Michigan's Emergency Telecommunicators

The State 911 Committee gives tribute to Michigan telecommunicators and their vital contributions to public safety. In 1991, the United States Congress designated the second week in April, this year April 10-16 as National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week.
