Michigan State Police Reports Decrease in Traffic Fatalities During 2017 Fourth of July Holiday Weekend

Preliminary findings show 11 people lost their lives in 11 separate traffic crashes during the 2017 Fourth of July holiday weekend.  In comparison, 13 traffic crashes resulted in 13 deaths during the 2016 Fourth of July holiday weekend.

Recent Flooding Causes Temporary Closure on Burns Road in Midland County

The Michigan Department of Natural Resources (DNR) today announced that a two-mile section of Burns Road in Midland County temporarily has been closed due to recent heavy rains and flooding. Portions of the road have been washed out and are not stable.
