2023 Local Agency Security Officer (LASO) Training

The Michigan State Police (MSP), Criminal Justice Information Center (CJIC) announces the 2023 Local Agency 
Security Officer (LASO) training schedule. 

Classes will be provided using the Microsoft Teams application. Participants will be able to attend by computer or by 
telephone if a computer is not available. There is no cost for this training and classes will include a one-hour lunch 
break.

Registration is completed through MI-TRAIN. Once you are registered, you will receive an email confirmation from MI-TRAIN. Note: To receive the registration confirmation,
you must enable email notifications from MI-TRAIN in your MiTRAIN profile. Two weeks prior to your scheduled class, you will receive a reminder email from the MSP with 
instructions for accessing the handouts for training. Registration for each session ends at 11:59 p.m. two days before 
the class. Each registered participant will receive a Microsoft Teams invitation via email one day prior to class.
