Purses With a Purpose - Hart Post

The Michigan State Police Hart Post is gathering new purses and bags filled with comfort items to benefit survivors of sexual assault. Suggested items include toiletries, hand sanitizer, candy, socks and feminine hygiene products.

Donations are being accepted through April, which is Sexual Assault Awareness Month, at the Hart Post located at 3793 W. Polk Rd. Hart, MI 49420. The post hours are M-F from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The purses stuffed with items will be donated to Communities Overcoming Violent Encounters (C.O.V.E) and the West Shore Community College.
