Purses with a Purpose - Lakeview Post

The Michigan State Police Lakeview Post is gathering new and gently used purses and bags filled with comfort items to benefit survivors of sexual assault. Suggested items include toiletries, socks, blankets, makeup, candy, books and journals.

Donations are being accepted through April, which is Sexual Assault Awareness Month, at the Lakeview Post located at 10300 Howard City-Edmore Road, Lakeview, MI 48850. The post hours are M-F from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The purses stuffed with items will benefit the Relief After Violent Encounter (R.A.V.E.) in Ionia and In the Image in Grand Rapids, to be distributed to survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence.
