Purses With a Purpose - Marquette

The Michigan State Police Negaunee Post is gathering new and gently used purses and bags filled with comfort items to benefit survivors of sexual assault. Suggested items include toiletries, socks, feminine products, brushes and MarqTran ticket books.

Donations are being accepted through April, which is Sexual Assault Awareness Month, at the Women's Center located at 1310 S. Front St., Marquette, MI 49855 from 9 to 4 p.m.
