Fiscal Year 2022 Grant Solicitation Released for the Automobile Theft Prevention Authority

The Automobile Theft Prevention Authority (ATPA) is currently accepting grant applications from law enforcement agencies, prosecutors, and non-profit organizations for enforcement, prosecution, community awareness, and prevention programs aimed at reducing motor vehicle theft.

This grant is funded from assessments paid by insurance companies to the ATPA.  A 50 percent cash match is required for all applicants, with the exception of non-profit organizations.  Funds must be utilized to enhance motor vehicle theft prevention efforts, not to supplant current programs.

Visit www.michigan.gov/atpa to obtain a grant application. The application form is located in the middle of the webpage in the "Forms" section.

The fiscal year 2022 grant period will begin on October 1, 2021, and end on September 30, 2022. Grant applications must be submitted to the ATPA on or before June 1, 2021.
